Every year we head down to the Gateway Mall and race...ok it is more like walk for the cure. This has been a really fun tradition to celebrate the many years that my sister-in-law Ginny (Colby's sister) has been cancer free. She is such an amazing and strong person. She is someone that I have and will always look up to for everything that she has already gone through at such a young age.
If you live in Utah and have never done this I suggest you do. It is such an amazing experience to see all of the women and men that have gone through or are going through breast cancer. I would have to say, it is kind of an emotional event. Not only is is emotional it is also comical. Teams get very creative with there team tee-shirts. Some of my faviorte that I have seen were... "Save the ta-ta's" "Bibbity, Boppity, Boobs" and my ultimate favorite "Yes these are fake, the real ones tried to kill me".
So....if you never have attended it is always the Saturday before Mother's Day.
Lucy, Ginny, Colby (always making faces) Me, and Sammy
This is what she did the last part of the race. The first part she had a per-ma-grin. She was loving just watching everyone....just like her mama.
Here is to another year. We love you Ginny.
