This post is for me to remember this past little while more than anything,
it might be long and boring so just skip over this post.
Wow... is all I can say about the past 1 month and a half. Where do I even start. Back in the first part of February I started having some serious stomach attacks. It was the worst thing that I have EVER experienced in my whole life. I remember thinking to myself, I would rather have 10 babies all at the same time, then have this pain ever again. When I would get this pain it would happen suddenly, always after the day would be over, and Sammy would be in bed and Colby and I would be sitting down watching TV together. This one particular night (which was the first time I had an attack) I was getting ready for bed and all of the sudden I started not feeling very well. I told Colby, he said, "go lay down I will be in in a min". I started walking to our room and all of the sudden I was hunched over freaking out, hardly able to move in so much pain. I walked back out to Colby and said I think there is something seriously wrong. He said, "you probably just ate something that didn't agree with you and you have indigestion, go get in a hot bath and soak for awhile." I got in the bath, but it was only getting worse. I tried laying in different positions, sitting indian style, hunching over, nothing I mean nothing was working not even the hot bath. Colby comes in still thinking that it is just indigestion, he gives me some peptobismol and some ibprofin for the pain. As I'm in the bath I'm telling him where my pain is and what it feels like, he is trying to figure out what it is from reading online as I'm telling him my symptoms. In my mind I'm thinking I'm going to die, I need to go the ER right now. The only thing that was holding me back from going to the hospital was the fact that I was getting my blood drawn the next morning for a Life Insurance policy. I just keep thinking if there is something wrong I will find out soon enough with the blood test that I'm getting and everything will be fine. So being the strong, tuff person that I am, ha ha ha... I got out of the water and got into bed, still in hugh amounts of pain, and tried to go to sleep. It was impossible to sleep there was no position, or medicine that would even help with this pain. So after laying in bed for 4 hours tossing and turning, the pain finally lets up and I'm able to go to sleep. The morning comes and I feel great, I have the tests done and the lady is on her way.
About a week or so later I get a letter in the mail saying that I was DENIED insurance because of my test that came back. I was thinking, really, I have NEVER in my 26 years of life, ever had anything wrong with me and the one time I try to protect myself and family for the future, I have something wrong with me. I hop online to look up what everything mean from the test results. As I'm reading I'm getting completely freaked out. I begin to be very irrational and think that I'm for sure going to die. So I called Colby at work to tell him and he said, "yeah I saw the results as well (because he is my insurance agent) and I have been calling Doctors to get an appointment, so we can find out what is going on. The soonest that he could find to get me in was a week and a half later. I said "ok thanks for your help." He knows that, he better just take care of it because that kind of stuff stresses me out. He sure is sweet. Anyway, so in that week and a half time period I had another horrible attack, this time it lasted close to 5 hours. I knew from the last time this happened it was going to be awhile before I felt good so I went to our spear bedroom so I didn't keep Colby up. After about 5 hours of being in pain I surrendered and went into Colby and told him that I couldn't take it anymore, and that he needed to give me a blessing. As I laid there while he was giving me the blessing I had one of the most amazing experience I have ever had. I could feel my body become relaxed, calm and peaceful. It was like the pain was being lifted out of my body. He finished with the blessing and with in about 10 mins after I was fast asleep. I will forever be grateful for that moment. I was and am very grateful for a worthy husband that could give me a blessing and for a Heavenly Father that is always listening and waiting for us to ask for his help whenever we may need it. It was such a wonderful faith and testimony building experience for me, that I will never forget.
So after going to a specialist, he determined that I needed to get and ultrasound done to determine if I had gallstones. I had some of the symptoms of it but they just needed to check to make sure. A couple days later I got my ultrasound done and talked to the Doctor. The Doctor confirmed that I had gallstones and that he would suggest getting my gallbladder removed. He gave me some suggestions of Surgeons to call. So naturally, after I talked to the Doctor I got on the computer and started reading stuff on getting my gallbladder out. Not a great idea, everything that I read what bad. The only people that ever post things online about anything is always bad because they had a bad experience or they didn't like something. The bad thing about that was that I was already on the fence about getting it out anyway. In my mind I was thinking all the organs we have are there for a reason so I'm going to do what I can to save this organ. In the other hand I was thinking if I don't get it out I'm going to have this pain for the rest of my life and I know for a fact that I couldn't deal with that. I called Colby baling because I didn't know what to do. I didn't want to have this pain anymore, but I didn't want to have my gallbladder out either. He told me to write down every question I had then make an appointment to see the Surgeon and talk to him about all of my concerns about having this surgery.

Trying to keep Sammy entertained while we talked to the Doctor
After talking and getting to know the surgeon and my situation I felt good about scheduling a time to have the surgery. His assistant came in and said that he was open to do surgery that Thursday. I told her that I would rather wait until the next week because my Birthday was on that Saturday and I didn't want to be down on my Birthday. We scheduled it for the following Monday. We left and I felt really good and peaceful about the decision that I had made. The week went on but then Thursday hit. I had an attack that evening, the night of the day that I could have had it out. It was so bad I ended going to the ER because I couldn't take it. They gave me some Morphin, fluids and sent me home with some Lortab just incase I had another attack before Monday. By the time I got home I could feel the Morphin wearing off, I could still feel pain so I took some Lortab. Not a great idea, I guess my body doesn't like Lortab because everything I ate that day came back up. The next day came and I felt ok but not great. Before I knew it I could feel another attack coming on, I took another Lortab like the Doctor told me to. I had to make that quick decision to either be nauseous or to have the worst pain ever. Little did I know, that small decision was going to make for horrible day of throwing up. By 11:00 pm I finally got it to calm down and I went to bed. The next day was my birthday, hooray right...well not really I still felt a little sick so I just stayed home most of the day. I was planning on going out for some alone time to get a pedicure but I wasn't feeling up to it. Later that night Colby told me that he wanted to take me out to eat, so I got ready and we went to Iggy's. Little did I know my family was there waiting for us, SUPRISE. It was really fun and a great surprise, but the hard thing was that I was afraid to eat anything for fear that I would have another attack, so I kept it simple and had a salad. By this time I couldn't wait for Monday to come so I could get this Gallbladder out.

In all my glory just before surgery
He was checking my arm band if you were wondering.
Monday, what a day. I had to be to the hospital at 6:30 am even though surgery wasn't until 8:30 am. They got me all prepped and ready to have surgery. I was out in recovery by 9:30 am. It took me until 4:30 pm come out of anesthesia to feel like I could walk, without blacking out.
After surgery, taking a little snooze. I wish I could sleep that sound all the time.
After one of the times I tried to get up to go to the bathroom and almost blacked out.
At this point I'm thinking everything is going to be great. I was wrong. Got home and Monday night Colby woke up with the FLU. Blah...I know. Not only could I not do anything for myself but I couldn't help or take care of the other two people in my house. It was a nightmare. I wasn't suppose to lift anything and I was so sore that it hurt to walk around. I was forced to be strong and get up to take care of my family. Luckily I have great neighbors who brought meals and a Mom who would take Sammy from 2 in the after noon to 7 or 8 at night. I am so grateful for everyone that helped us. I don't know what I would have done without the help.
Today... 4 days later I feel great, I'm excited to start my new life, so-to-speak and not have those horrible stomach pains anymore.
