Blessing Dress

My talented sister-in-law offered to take Samantha's picture in her blessing dress.
This one is my very favorite picture that she took.
I have been trying to upload the other ones that she took but it is not working.

Sammy's Best Friend

When we got home from the hospital, Sammy had a friend waiting for her named Fonda Lona.
This Cabbage Patch doll was waiting for her in her crib with birth certificate and all. She didn't want to come empty handed so she brought us some treats as well as a little note.

Fonda waiting for us to come home from the hospital.

This is Fonda's birth certificate. As you can tell she was only born a few days before Sammy. I have a feeling they are going to be the best of friends.

This is the note that she brought with her. She wrote....
"Dear Sammy, My name is Fonda Lona and I hope you like company and me. Maybe we could have some Tootsie Pops together to bond our friendship. Your Mom and Dad may want to eat too so I got them a red card. Love, Fonda P.S. Go to the bathroom in the toilet. "

Look how happy Sammy is to have a friend that is just her size.

Going home from the Hospital

Samantha already to go home from the Hospital

It was a cold day when we went home, so we put her in her warm winter suit.
(it didn't really fit her but it sure kept her nice and warm)

Getting things started.

Stephanie after being in labor for 12 hours.

The clan that worked hard to get little Samantha here!!

Our sweet baby!

Mommy loves Samantha!!!!

More to come when we go home from the hospital.

By the way---she was born on 9/29/09 at 9:09 am....Pretty crazy!!!

Monday September 28 Stephanie was received into the Hospital at 9 pm to be induced into labor. At 10 pm she was started on a petosin drip to induce contractions. Around 1 am the contractions became too painful and Stephanie asked for the epidural. The anesthesiologist was an odd fellow but did a great job. After the epidural, we both fell asleep, only being bothered by the requisite hourly nurse visits. Around 7 am, we got up because the nurse said that the doctor was coming in. After his brief exam, he informed us that Stephanie was fully dilated and that it was time to have a baby.
Stephanie pushed for about an hour and a half and was totally exhausted. The doctor asked if she wanted any help and she said yes. The doctor brought out the forceps and together with Stephanies pushing the baby was out in a few minutes. She weighed 7 pounds 8 ounces and was 20 inches long. She has light brown hair and is super cute. I will post many pictures of her.
